Veterans Oral History Project

The Veterans Oral History Project (VOHP) is subsidized by the Library of Congress.  Audio & video interviews are conducted with the veterans of all services and eras and stored in the Library of Congress Archives for historical purposes and research.

You can become part of the American History by participating in the project.  To participate, complete the Biographical Information Sheet and submit it to the Rome Marines Veterans Center, Inc.

After receipt of your bio data, our staff will contact you and arrange a meeting, explain the process, and schedule your video interview.

A finished copy will be presented to the Oneida County Historical Association and you.  The best part is, it is free – gratis – as a “thanks” for your service to our nation.  Your military story will become part of both our national and your local county history.

Contact us for more information on this program, and thank you for your service.
